http://www.malaya.com.ph/may12/livi1.htmLuis Martin Harder opens his first one-man exhibition titled Unscripted
at the OWG. It is a collection of digital archival photographic
prints, showcasing images of nature, life, colors and light. Shot in locations around the Philippines and Cambodia.
Photography was a passion rekindled for Harder, who dabbled in taking film photos back in college. After putting up electronic components distribution and servicing companies, he was back behind the lens, shooting sidewalk settings, people on the move and the great outdoors. "There’s always something unique in a place, it’s all up to you to look for it," he says.
Harder took lessons to familiarize with the camera and digital fine tuning, but says that lessons can only take one so far. "There are skills you have to develop on your own," he said. He learned from of Leo Castillo, Jay Alonzo, Gunther Diechmann, Tilak Hettige and Rosscapili, they instilled in him the importance of attention to detail and technical proficiency.
Harder has captured the natives of Boracay, the sakada, or sugarcane farmers, and the fishermen of Dumaguete, as well as the aged Igorot who rents out costumes for tourist. "Something may look common, but when you walk past it, it just catches your eye, because it has a story to tell, or something you have to find out about it," he said.

Since Cambodia he has done real well, more than 30 images from Cambodia and the Philippines are on display, very impressive work I might add and I am very proud of him.
A good and mixed crowed attended the opening night at the One Workshop Gallery including other familiar faces like good old Bebet Gaudinez (I am just waiting to see
his Exhibition) and Jasmine Manabat who also attended my PhotoWorkshop last year,
almost like a “little reunion”.
Photographers like Wig Tysman, Tilak Hettig, George Tapan and many other personalities including Henry Bateman Artist/Writer showed up to give Luis the credit he deserves, of course the host Photographer Master printer and Artist Ross Capilli and his wife made sure everybody had enough to drink and eat. Thanks Ross.
